The Ruminaters are a collaborative four piece that play "beatnik, barnyard, hillbilly swamp rock". With varied influences from The White Stripes and Black lips to The Strokes and the Clash, The Ruminaters play feel good tunes with an energetic and nostalgic feel. Since their formation in 2010, The Ruminaters have gained a strong reputation for their reckless and rowdy live sets. After a successful east coast tour over summer, The Ruminaters are set to release the next chapter of their existence.

Early 2012 sees the release of the bands second single “Timmy”. The follow up from the debut “Deadstuff” that received wonderful support form JJJ and all indie community radio.

Timmy was the first song ever recorded and has become a crowd favorite of the boys live set....Timmy has the bitter sweet overtones with "Pencils" raw screeching lead vocals delivering yet another Ruminater yarn, with the band locking into some serious hillbilly swamp rock.

Being the first Ruminater song that was written, Timmy tells the tale of a misunderstood character who is chased out of town due to his necrophilic actions.

Critics have said that The Ruminater sound is the equivalent to “The Black lips covering The Strokes” which by all accounts, is pretty awesome.
